Metehan Border Gate

Agios Dometios, also called Metehan, crosses the Green Line in western Nicosia. You can cross on foot or by car. If you are walking around the old town, the Ledra Street pedestrian crossing is more convenient.

For a hire car, ask the rental company whether your agreement allows the car to go north and check your insurance cover. Insurance for the north is sold at Agios Dometios, but buying a policy does not change the terms of the rental agreement. Carry your passport.
