Kapıkule Sınır Kapısı

Kapıkule is a road crossing between Türkiye and Bulgaria. It sits west of Edirne on the Turkish side. The Bulgarian checkpoint is called Kapitan Andreevo (Капитан Андреево). Follow the signs for passenger cars as you approach the checkpoint. Trucks use separate lanes.

If you are entering Türkiye from Bulgaria and traffic is heavy, Turkish customs lists two alternatives: Lesovo–Hamzabeyli and Malko Tarnovo–Dereköy. Before taking a detour, check the Bulgarian Border Police traffic report. See whether any advisory applies to your direction and to passenger cars.
