The tallest tower of the Novgorod Detinets at 41 m, built at the end of the 17th century on the site of an older one. From its viewing platform there is a panorama of the Volkhov, the Sofia Side and the St George's Monastery. The name is thought to come from the Dutch kijk uit, "look out".
