Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar

A trading complex in the Erdaoqiao quarter, built in 2003 in imitation of Central Asian architecture, with yellow brick towers, domes and an eighty-metre Silk Road viewing tower. Inside the traders sell dried fruit, spices, carpets and souvenirs, and the Erdaoqiao mosque stands alongside. This is the main tourist point of Urumqi and the largest bazaar in the city.
