Pantai Kondang Merak

Pantai Kondang Merak is a beach on the southern coast of Malang Regency in East Java, well away from the city waterfront and its larger resort areas. The shoreline combines sandy stretches with limestone outcrops and coral reefs. The rocks absorb part of the ocean swell, while low tide can reveal shallow natural pools and uneven shelves of stone. This mix of sea and rugged terrain gives the coast a character quite different from a long, uniform beach: a walk may move from soft sand to cliffs and small coves.
