Turpan Grand Mosque

The main mosque in the centre of Turpan. Its wide facade of pointed niches is finished with a green dome, eight slender minarets rise at the corners and along the wall, and the building is painted in green and ochre. In front of the entrance lies a spacious square paved with red brick in a herringbone pattern.
