Tooro Botanical Gardens is on Njara Road in Fort Portal. It grows plants native to Uganda and shows how people use them. The medicinal plant garden has been here since 2004. Other collections include aromatic plants, food plants and succulents. A walk through the grounds is also a chance to look for birds and butterflies.

You can visit the garden before heading out to the crater lakes or Kibale National Park. Its website lists UGX 10,000 for residents and UGX 20,000 for non-residents. Prices checked on 3 November 2026. Contact the garden before you go to confirm when you can visit.
