Vivekananda Rock Memorial occupies a rocky islet off Cape Kanyakumari. Inaugurated in 1970, it commemorates Swami Vivekananda and combines several halls with architectural influences from different parts of India. The neighbouring part of the rock holds the Shripada shrine, associated with the revered footprint of the goddess Devi.
Passenger ferries connect the memorial with the Kanyakumari waterfront. Visitors explore the halls and sea-facing viewpoints; the site is commonly visited together with the Thiruvalluvar Statue.
