Dakhma-i Shohon Royal Necropolis

The necropolis of the rulers of Kokand was laid out in 1825 at the wish of the poet Nodira over the grave of her husband Umar Khan. The way in leads through a portal set entirely with coloured mosaic, and behind it lie a courtyard with an iwan and a turquoise dome raised above the old city cemetery.
