A narrow lane in the old centre of Ipoh, one of three parallel passages between Jalan Sultan Yussuf and Jalan Bank. It appeared at the beginning of the 20th century, when Ipoh was growing rich on tin mining, and the lanes picked up the nicknames Market Lane, Concubine Lane and Wife Lane. Today coffee houses and souvenir shops sit in the restored premises, while garlands and lengths of cloth are strung above the passage.
