Nurzhol Boulevard

The pedestrian axis of the new centre of Astana is a broad boulevard with lawns, fountains and flagpoles that runs from the Ak Orda residence past Baiterek to the Khan Shatyr shopping centre. Ministry towers and residential blocks of the 2000s stand along its sides, and it is this frontage that gives the left bank its recognisable skyline.
