Kalon Mosque

One of the largest mosques in Central Asia (16th century), with room for 12,000 worshippers. The courtyard covers 0.8 ha and is ringed by 288 domes on arched galleries. Richly decorated mihrab and carved wooden doors. Still an active mosque, so access is limited during prayers.
