Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan

Kampung Warna-Warni Jodipan is a residential quarter beside the Brantas River in Malang that became a city attraction through the bright paint on its homes and shared spaces. Malang’s tourism department lists it among the city’s thematic tourism villages, and the local Jodipan administration identifies the visitor area in RW 02. The appeal is not a single façade: colour, stairways, narrow lanes and river views come together as a short walking route. From higher viewpoints the tightly packed riverside houses form a broad panorama; at street level visitors can see painted walls, small courtyards and bridges linking the banks and nearby neighbourhoods. Views are also available from Buk Gludug bridge, reached through ordinary residential streets. This is still a lived-in neighbourhood, so keep doorways clear, do not enter private areas and ask before taking close portraits of residents. Steps and footpaths can be slippery after rain, making comfortable shoes useful for the walk. Keep Jodipan distinct from neighbouring Kampung Tridi and Kampung Biru Arema: they are separate themed quarters, although visitors often explore them in one outing. Entry arrangements and access to individual bridges can change, so follow the notices posted locally when you arrive.
