Kluang’s street art is spread through lanes in the town centre. One of its main areas is Laman Kreatif Kluang near Taman Merdeka; Visit Johor lists the attraction at 25 Jalan Merdeka, in Kampung Masjid Lama. It is not an indoor museum with a single entrance. The murals occupy lane walls and building façades, so seeing them means walking through the central neighbourhood.
The Kluang Municipal Council upgraded a back lane near Taman Merdeka, added lighting and developed the area as a place for visitors and local recreation. Later, local artists, community groups and school teams contributed new works. The murals draw on railway travel, kopitiam coffee shops, crafts, nature and familiar scenes from Johor life. Together, they connect the small streets with the story of a trading town shaped by rail links and the plantation economy.
The lanes can be combined with a walk through the commercial centre and a stop at the railway station, home to Kluang Rail Coffee. Some walls stand beside working shops, so leave entrances clear and be mindful of residents and businesses. This is a public urban area rather than a ticketed venue; there is no single visiting schedule, and access to individual lanes can change. Check the municipal council’s Laman Kreatif Kluang page before setting out.
