Monument to Peter I in the Lower Park

The bronze Peter I by Mark Antokolsky stands in the eastern part of the Lower Park, not far from Monplaisir. It was set on a granite pedestal in 1884, and after the statue disappeared during the war it was cast again from the sculptor's own model and returned to its place in the 1950s. Antokolsky showed the tsar in the uniform of the Preobrazhensky Regiment, leaning on a cane.
