Ban Po Beach (Bang Por)

A beach on the northern shore of Samui, between Laem Yai cape and the village of Maenam. The strip of light sand stretches for several kilometres, the bottom is shallow and gentle, and the sea is closed off from open water and almost always calm. Building here is sparse, with coconut groves, bungalows and small fishermen's houses instead of the hotel quarters of Chaweng and Lamai.
