Siab Bazaar

The main food market of Samarkand lies right against the northern side of the Bibi-Khanym Mosque. Under its long canopies traders sell dried fruit, nuts, spices and Samarkand flatbread, and the rows run out towards the medieval ensemble itself. Some of the pavilions were renewed in the 2000s, though the layout of the trading lines was kept as it was.
