Church of the Hodegetria Icon of the Mother of God

The church in the north-western corner of the metropolitan's court was built in the 1690s, already after the death of Iona Sysoyevich. What sets it apart from the rest of the kremlin is its ornate Moscow baroque and the painting of the facades in diamond rustication, which makes a flat wall look as though it were laid with faceted stones.
