Tver Imperial Travel Palace

The palace was built in the 1760s as a stopping place for the imperial family on the road from St Petersburg to Moscow, and rebuilt in the early 19th century by Carlo Rossi. It now holds the Tver picture gallery, and the broad square in front of it gives the best view of the building.
