Dormition Cathedral of the Goritsky Monastery

The main church of the Goritsky Monastery was built in baroque forms in the middle of the eighteenth century, when the monastery served as a bishop's residence. Inside survives a carved and gilded iconostasis of the same period, one of the most sumptuous in the Yaroslavl land. The cathedral now forms part of the museum reserve display and opens only in the warm season.
