Khao Tang Kuan is a hill above Songkhla with views over the city, Songkhla Lake and the Gulf of Thailand. A Buddhist chedi and pavilion stand at the summit, making it one of the town’s best-known viewpoints. The hill forms a natural landmark between the historic centre and the coast.
From the upper grounds, the city’s position between a large lagoon and the open sea becomes clear. Khao Tang Kuan is commonly combined with a visit to the old quarter and Samila Beach. The summit includes religious sites, so visitors should follow local customs and treat the shrines with respect.
