Po Sah Inu

Three buildings on Bà Nài Hill near Phan Thiết, built in the late 8th and early 9th century, which makes them more than 1,200 years old. This is the southernmost of the major Cham temples and one of the earliest: it is assigned to the Hòa Lai style, with horseshoe arches and octagonal pilasters. The main tower was dedicated to Shiva, and a linga on a yoni still stands inside; the complex acquired its present name much later, from the Cham princess Po Sah Inu, who came to be venerated here. The hill is low, but from the terrace there is a view of the bay and the fishing harbour. On the same slope lie the ruins of Lầu Ông Hoàng, the villa of a French aristocrat, built at the beginning of the twentieth century and destroyed in the wars. The Cham community of Bình Thuận celebrates the Katê festival at the towers every year. Bà Nài Hill is low and the climb is short, and from the terrace there is a view of the bay and the fishing harbour of Phan Thiết. On the same slope lie the ruins of the Lầu Ông Hoàng villa. Admission is charged; the Cham community celebrates the Katê festival at the towers every year. In the evening the towers are floodlit, and sunset over the fishing harbour is one of the most popular shots in Phan Thiết.
