Epiphany Cathedral

The cathedral on Bauman Street was built between 1731 and 1756, and Fyodor Chaliapin was baptised in it. The red-brick bell tower next to it went up between 1893 and 1897 to a height of about 74 metres, which made it the tallest structure in old Kazan and the chief landmark of the pedestrian street.
