Fort Vredeburg Museum

Fort Vredeburg Museum occupies a historic fortress in central Yogyakarta. Its galleries interpret major events in Indonesian history through dioramas, documents and objects from the collection. Visitors can walk through the exhibition rooms and the old fort’s inner grounds. The museum is on Margo Mulyo Street, close to the city’s central square and the Sultan’s palace.
