The cathedral of the Epiphany Monastery was built between 1761 and 1779 in the late baroque style on the site of a wooden church that belonged to an Orthodox brotherhood. It stands on the high bank of the Western Dvina and is visible from far off on the water. In the Soviet years the building held a gymnasium, services returned at the beginning of the 1990s, and the neighbouring monastery ranges now house the Museum of Belarusian Book Printing.
