Tam Coc

A stretch of the Ngo Dong river among limestone stacks, which is known as the dry Ha Long. The name means three caves, since a boat with an oarsman passes through Hang Ca, Hang Hai and Hang Ba, cut through the rock by the river. The route begins at the pier in the village of Van Lam and lies within the Trang An World Heritage site. In spring rice fields stand along the banks, and by May they are harvested.
