Western Pearl Meteorological Tower

A tower 99 metres high in the park by East Lake in Jiayuguan, built by the weather service together with the city. The outer steel frame repeats the silhouette of a leaping dolphin and is lit blue in the evening. Weather observation and a hall of popular science work inside, while the upper floors hold viewing platforms.
