South Lake Park

A park around an artificial lake in the south of Jiayuguan, laid out on what had been gravel desert. The banks are planted and promenades run along the water, while a multi-tiered Chinese-style pavilion and an arched bridge are raised above the lake. In calm weather the water stands as a mirror in which the buildings and the sunset sky are reflected.
