Canton Tower

A television tower 604 metres high on the southern bank of the Pearl river, built for the Asian Games of 2010. The latticed shaft is twisted in a spiral and narrows towards the middle, which is why the silhouette is called the slim waist. In the evening changing light floods the structure, and viewing platforms work on the upper tiers.
