Munnar

Munnar is a hill station in Kerala’s Idukki district, set among the southern reaches of the Western Ghats. Tea plantations cover many of the surrounding slopes and define the landscape. Eravikulam National Park and Anamudi, the highest peak in South India, are also in the area. Visitors combine drives or walks through the tea country with the tea museum, waterfalls and mountain viewpoints. Roads wind through plantations and small settlements, so exploring the wider area takes longer than a short stop in Munnar town itself.
