A mountain village in Gilan at about 1050 metres, known since the tenth century and settled by Talysh people. The houses are set in tiers on a steep slope, so the roofs of the lower ones serve as yards and streets for those above, and the difference in height within the settlement is more than a hundred metres. No cars move inside the village at all. The climate is damp, and fog stands here for more than three months of the year.
