Monument to the 850th Anniversary of Vladimir

The three-sided granite obelisk on Cathedral Square was set up in 1958 for the 850th anniversary of the city. Three bronze figures sit at its base, one to each face, an ancient architect with a drawing, a warrior defender and a worker of the present day. Because all three are seated, townspeople nicknamed the monument the three idlers.
