The chief shrine of Masuleh stands in the middle of the village among the tiers of houses, an eight-sided building under a dome with a minaret on either side. Local tradition holds that Oun ibn Ali, son of Muhammad ibn al-Hanafiyya and grandson of Caliph Ali, is buried here. The earliest firm date in the building is a gravestone of the year 969 of the Hijra set into the wall.
