Horse Yard

The service yard of the Trinity Lavra of St Sergius by the White Pond forms a closed square of long single-storey ranges with corner towers, built at the end of the eighteenth century for the monastery horses. It now holds the main display of the Sergiev Posad museum reserve, covering archaeology, folk art and the celebrated collection of toys.
