Pearl River Waterfront in Guangzhou

The pedestrian embankments along the Pearl river in the centre of Guangzhou link the old town with the new business district of Zhujiang New Town. From the southern bank a view opens onto Haixinsha island with its red wave-shaped canopy, left from the ceremony of the 2010 Asian Games, and onto the towers of the business centre. In the evenings the buildings and bridges switch on synchronised lighting.
