Li River Waterfront in Yangshuo

A stone embankment along the Li river where West Street comes down to the water. From here a row of karst hills opens up on the opposite bank, and bamboo rafts are moored at the shore, the ones the local fishermen take out to fish with cormorants. Vaulted passages with steps down to the water have survived in the old retaining wall.
